Lengpal is a language exchange platform. It’s a video chat platform similar to Google Meet and Zoom but specifically designed for language exchange. You select your native and target language and simply share a link with a partner. They join you in the call where you practice both languages.

We have a built-in timer so you can practice both languages equally and fairly. You decide which language to start with and the amount of time. Practice it, and when the timer is up, switch to the other.

We built Lengpal because we noticed there is no tool like this in the market, and a lot of people post every day on subreddits and language groups on Facebook and other social media looking for people to practice with using Zoom or Google Meet, but those platforms are not built for language exchange. We want to create a space that feels similar to a real language exchange meeting.

The built-in timer is the first step, and we will also have other tools such as saving words your partner types in the message box, an integrated translation tool, live subtitles, and fun features like city backgrounds and cultural filters.
Our mission is to help language learners feel confident in their target language with the help of their partner. We want a virtual, secure, private space where everyone can practice.

Once Lengpal has enough people on the platform, we plan to release the feature where Lengpal originally started: connecting people directly from the platform. This means you will be able to invite a partner or look for available partners through the platform.
